RULES: The event
will be sailed under the Time Trialling Rules 2021 Revision 2.2 (as amended
from time to time) of the CPYA of WA herein after referred to as the Rules,
applicable at the event starting time and as modified by the Sailing
Instructions. Conditions contained in this notice of event may be
varied or added to and referred to in the Sailing Instructions. A
copy of the rules is available on the CPYA Home Page at www.sportspage.com.au.
2) ENTRY FEE: NIL
3) ENTRIES:
The Cruising and Power Yacht Association
may decline any entry without specifying any reason. The Organising Authority
(OA) for each event will be responsible for the Competitor Registrations. Each OA will also be responsible for event
promotional material for competitors. Registration can be completed via each Club’s
registration process through the following links:

4) CLOSING DATES FOR ENTRIES: Entries
must be lodged by midnight on the following dates. The closing date
for entries may be extended by the Organising Committee at their discretion.

5) SAILING INSTRUCTIONS – COURSES AND
PROGRAMME. Sailing Instructions for all events will be as per
the 2023 Sailing Instructions contained on the CPYA Homepage.
6) SPEEDS: Nominated
speeds must be from 5 to 15 knots or as adjusted by Clause 22 of the Rules.
7) COMPLIANCE: Every
competing power yacht shall comply with the minimum marina requirements of
their club of origin.
8) SCORING SYSTEM FOR CHAMPIONSHIP: In
accordance with Rules, refer Appendix 2, Clause 3.
9) SCORING SYSTEM FOR TEAMS EVENTS: In
accordance with the Rules, refer Appendix 2, Clause 2 with all events completed
to count.
10) REDRESS and PROTESTS: All
redress and protest requests shall be lodged and heard in accordance with the
Rules. Contestants are requested to consult the Rules and follow the
requirements and timing for written submissions.
11) PRESENTATIONS: Presentations
post event will be publicised by each of the OA’s in
the lead up to each of the events. SoPYC is the nominated
club for the 2023 season presentations and further
advice will be provided as the season progresses.
